The guesthouse is in excellent condition with quality carpets, bed linens & general furnishings. All guest rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioners, TV/DVD, Internet wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. There is an open fire in the guest lounge and a guest library stocking books, magazines, DVD’s, CD’s and board games. In house guests are a mixture of travellers, corporate reps, law and medical professionals and VFR (visiting friends and relatives). We have a high number of repeat and return clientele and a good presence on internet search engines. The Guesthouse provides a very comfortable yet stylish alternative to motel accommodation.

Tellers Restaurant (Operating on a limited basis)

Opening directly off the main street, Tellers Restaurant is housed in the old Banking chamber, with a small private dining room in the old Managers Office and the kitchen in the bank vaults. The setting is very attractive with polished floors and a wonderful blown up photo (circa 1894) of a bank in a tent at West Wyalong. There is also an old bank of NSW (circa 1817) sign with gold leaf writing on permanent loan from the Wingham historical museum. There is a small back courtyard in where the modern toilet block for the restaurant has been built and courtyard furniture covered by a sail for shade and inclement weather, which makes a nice casual outdoor area. A fully equipped commercial kitchen with fridges, freezers and commercial oven is fantastic for making the guest breakfast and is ready to take on any further dining options the purchaser may want to offer.

Wingham

Wingham is a small country town of approximately 4700 people, 12kms West of Taree and surrounded by Dairy and Beef Farming, State Forest and National Parks. Situated in the town itself is the Wingham Brush, a 10 hectare sub tropical floodplain rainforest, which is a special habitat for a certain species of Flying Fox and native birds. There is a public boat ramp at the river and excellent kayaking on the Manning River which is only 300 metres from the Guesthouse. Other areas of note are Ellenborough Waterfall to the North West, which is the longest single drop waterfall in Australia and Barrington to the South West which is renowned for its trout fishing and kayaking. Then you have the River town of Taree to the East and further East Old Bar Beach and many other beautiful North Coast Beaches.
